About
The Apatia estate il a family estate with 8 hectares of vines in production planted on the steep terroirs of Bask county, between 150 and 450m above sea level. The vineyard plots are planted in the Irouleguy appellation area, but the winery is not in this area, which is why the wines are "Vin de France". The vines are planted in terraces to break this slope, which makes the management of the vines almost exclusively manual and limits mechanisation. The grape varieties grown are tannat, cabernet franc, and cabernet sauvignon for red and petit manseng, gros manseng and petit courbu for white.
