Description
Handpicked. Carignan is vinified in whole berries. Syrah and Mourvèdre are handpicked and put into tanks for a period of 20 days. The blending process is made before the ageing. 12 months, partly in French oak barrels and partly in small egg-shaped tanks. Very intense ruby color. Intensely spicy, with aromas of Morello cherry. Beautiful structure displays great aromatic complexity, combining black fruit and spices. Long and rich.

CHĂ‚TEAU FABRE GASPARETS 2017 Wine Advocate 90 Drink Date 2020 - 2026 /Not as plush or opulent as I remember the 2015 being, the 2017 Corbieres-Boutenac Chateau Fabre Gasparets is a suave, relatively elegant example of Boutenac, with red raspberry notes joined by restrained cedar, hints of dried/Kudos to the Fabre family, who have made organics a hallmark of their various properties and wine brands spices and garrigue. It's medium to full-bodied, with supple, silky tannins and a lingering finish. It should drink well for several years.
CHÂTEAU FABRE GASPARETS 2017 Rosemary George MW "56% Carignan, 24% Mourvèdre and 20% Syrah. Aged one third in new one, one third in one year and one third in second year wood, but with 10 % in cement eggs.
Medium colour. Quite fresh black fruit on the nose and palate. Less obvious oak than the single vineyard, La Serre. Ripe spicy fruit and an appealing lift on the finish. "
CHÂTEAU FABRE GASPARETS 2018 RVF One of the oldest families of Languedoc elaborates this ripe Corbières, concentrated and sanguine on a tactile material with a particular grain, in the manner of sweet spices. A beautiful tension animates this wine.
CHĂ‚TEAU FABRE GASPARETS 2018 IWC Bronze (85) Savoury, intense, herbal and firm. Good depth.
CHÂTEAU FABRE GASPARETS 2018 Wine and Spirits Magazine 90 This is a huge red, ripe and ostentatiously oaked. Yet the wine’s firm red fruit counterbalances the oak, along with hints of stone and herbs that may emerge more fully with time in the bottle.
