Description
Marselan is a grape variety created in Marseillan in 1961 by researchers from INRA and ENSAM. It comes from a cross between Cabernet-Sauvignon and Grenache noir. This variety, rich in polyphenols, has the flexibility of Grenache and the color of Cabernet-Sauvignon. It gives a concentrated red wine with aromas of spices and fruits. The Marselan, reminiscent of the aromas of Grenache, goes well with the Syrah which evokes spices.
