Description
Every year, we work on one or several plots even more thoroughly than for our emblematic “cuvées”, with average yields of 17 to 25 hl/ha. Each one of the laying down wines we have thus made highlights one of our main varieties : Two old very low-yielding Carignans blend offer a “wine to keep” that enhances the full potential quality of this variety that had been run down for too long. Through this wine, we aim at expressing the unique terroir of Cambous as it must have been in the Xth century when Gellone Abbey owned it.

Belle robe rubis, très profonde....Nez expressif et déjà ouvert mêlant des parfums de fruits noirs pulpeux (cassis et myrtille)à des notes de liqueur de fruits et de fruits à noyaux. La bouche est à l'attaque ample et charnue avec un bon volume qui restitue les parfums fruités juteux mais aussi son esprit méditerranéen. L'ensemble est bien équilibré et malgré la puissance, soyeux. Finale épicée et chocolatée d'une bonne longueur.
