Bright garnet with dark purple highlights. Appealing nose blending dark fruits, fine spices, violet and liquorice with oak in the background. Silky attack followed by a virile, nervy, aromatic mid-palate with alluringly precise, elegant southern aromas. The grapes have been de-stemmed then crushed. Light cap-punching during fermentation with a pumping-over. Malolactic fermentation in tank and in barrels. 50 % of the blend has been aged during one year in French aok barrels (400 L and 600 L, 20 % in new oak).
